Robin Partington Architects

2014-2016

Building on the success of New Street Square, with its striking architecture and high profile business occupiers, One New Street Square will be the final jewel in the crown of the landmark development.

Client: Land Securities
Main contractor: Land Securities
Façades: 14 300 m2
Type: New
City: London

The building was pre-let in its entirety to Deloitte LLP more than 12 months ahead of completion.

Understanding and addressing the site's unique constraints was the key to generating a distinctive and elegant piece of architecture.

The building's Pas de Deux form with a lower portion addressing the adjacent building on Shoe Lane, complimented by a taller partner rising to a pinnacle looking towards St. Paul's, successfully responds not just to the local context but also to the London skyline.

Revitalising a rapidly changing area of London this project designed by Robin Partington Architects, will provide 275,000 sq ft of office and ancillary space over ground, upper ground and 14 office floors and will achieve the BREEAM Excellent environmental standard.

The 14'300 m² of glazed curtain walling are made with prefab elements, including structural glazing and external 'butterfly shaped' fins shading full height glazing result in excellent internal daylight values and generous views to the outside. Made to measure curtain walling sytems and solar fins were realised by Felix.
